Exploring conversion to Judaism?
You don’t have to navigate the journey alone.
Perhaps you’ve felt drawn to Judaism for years. Perhaps a relationship, an experience or a growing sense of connection has brought you here.
Whatever your starting point, you’re welcome to bring your questions.
I’m Rabbi Yossi Friedman. I offer personal guidance to help you explore what conversion could mean for you, understand the process and take your next steps with clarity and support.

Conversion is a deeply personal journey, with questions about identity, family, relationships and belonging.
My role is to listen, help you understand the path ahead and be a familiar person you can turn to throughout the process.
We begin with an initial consultation. From there, I can offer ongoing guidance, help you connect with suitable teachers and communities, and liaise with Sydney Beth Din and others involved, with your permission.
We’ll agree on any ongoing support and additional fees together before proceeding.
You don’t need to have everything worked out before our first conversation.

Your initial consultation is a dedicated, 60-minute conversation about you and the journey you’re considering.
Together, we’ll explore:
Afterwards, you’ll receive a short written outline of the next steps we’ve discussed.
$250
A dedicated, 60-minute conversation, available online or in person by arrangement.
There’s no obligation to commit to ongoing consultations.
Sydney Beth Din oversees the Orthodox conversion process, including its requirements, assessment and approval.
My role is to offer personal guidance, support and liaison alongside that process. A consultation with me is optional and does not constitute an application to Beth Din or guarantee acceptance or conversion.
The consultation fee is separate from any Beth Din, teaching or other costs.
You’re also welcome to contact Sydney Beth Din directly.
You may be ready to take the next step, or simply wondering whether this path is right for you. We can start where you are.
