The Bar Mitzvah Journey – How It Works

The Jewish coming of age ceremony

Rabbi On Demand has lead hundreds of Bar Mitzvahs and is here to ensure this journey is meaningful, seamless, and enjoyable for your son and your family. Here’s what to expect:

1. Secure Your Date

Confirm your booking with “Rabbi on Demand.” A Bar-Mitzvah ceremony can take place on a Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Monday, Thursday or Rosh Chodesh (Head of new Jewish month).

2. Initial Meeting

A get-to-know-you session with the Rabbi, your son, and the family to begin shaping his unique Bar Mitzvah experience.

3. Introduction to a Bar Mitzvah Teacher

Private lessons with our recommended Bar-mitzvah trainer (this has a separate fee).

4. Mid-Year Check-In

A check-up session to see how our Bar-mitzvah is progressing and how the plans for the big day are going.

5. Final Rehearsal

The Rabbi will attend your final practice to ensure confidence and readiness for his big day.

6. The Bar Mitzvah Ceremony

Conducting a meaningful, personalised and ceremony to honour this important milestone!

Traditional in style but deeply attuned to each student’s needs, he offers personalised lessons, audio recordings, and synagogue rehearsals to help every learner feel confident and supported. A true mensch and master of preparation.
