Celebrating life, love & tradition
A birthday presents a powerful opportunity to reflect upon the past, reconnect in the present and recommit for the future. Its also a lovely time to be spoiled by loved ones or those closest to you.
We are offering something new in which your birthday – or the birthday of someone close to you – can be enhanced through a phone call or visit by a rabbi! The rabbi may offer blessings for good health, happiness, and success, and may offer words of wisdom and encouragement for the coming year. The goal of the birthday surprise is to provide a meaningful and spiritual way to mark the occasion and to offer support and well wishes to the individual as they embark on another year of life.
We present two options:
Rabbi Yossi will call a special person on the day of their birthday to deliver a special blessing and birthday wish.
Rabbi Yossi will visit the birthday person on their special day to provide personal words of blessing, share a L’chaim and special gift.
Having led hundreds of Bat-Mitzvahs, we bring a wealth of experience in guiding the specific child and family in the lead-up to this special time and facilitating a tailor-made, personalised and meaningful Bat Mitzvah service and ceremony.
1. Secure Your Date
A Bat-Mitzvah ceremony can take place on a Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Monday, Thursday or Rosh Chodesh (Head of new Jewish month).
2. Initial Meeting
A get-to-know-you session with me, your daughter, and the family to begin shaping his unique Bat Mitzvah experience.
3. Introduction to a Bat Mitzvah Teacher
Private lessons with our recommended Bat-mitzvah trainer that are separate from my fee. Currently, the fee is $75/lesson (rates may adjust slightly at some point).
4. Mid-Year Check-In
A check-up session to see how our Bat-mitzvah is progressing and how the plans for the big day are going.
5. Final Rehearsal
I’ll attend a final practice to ensure she feels confident and ready for her big day.
6. The Bat Mitzvah Ceremony
Conducting a meaningful, personalised and ceremony to honour this important milestone!
We like to think outside the box and find unique ways of injecting Jewish spirituality into your event and incorporate the essence of your child within their traditional Jewish heritage.
